The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has increased the load-shedding hours effective from Monday.
The state-owned power supplier increased the power outage to eight hours a day from the previous two hours a day.
The NEA said the power outage has been increased as there is a need of maintenance at the Kaligandaki A hydroelectric project.
The maintenance will be completed in a week, NEA said.
There will be four hours of load shedding in the morning and four hours in the evening.
